Mission

NBCC Romania stands for:

• Promoting the counseling profession in Romania by creating professional associations, publishing specialized literature, organizing specific events (workshops, seminars, round tables, courses, conferences, etc);
• Developing and promoting educational programs for career, school and mental health counselors in academia or in private, governmental and nongovernmental organizations;
• Developing and promoting professional quality standards in the counseling educational programs in Romania;
• Administer the GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator) certification under CCE (Center for Credentialing and Education) standards;
• Maintaining a collaborative relation with the National Board for Certified Counselors, USA and with EBCC (Lisbon);
• Offering specialized consultancy for professional public and private organizations, supporting the activity of counseling centers in schools and universities, state and private organizations;
• Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit in counseling;
• Creating a specialized library for counseling;
• Developing collaborations with ministries in related fields and other organizations involved in developing the counseling profession in Romania.
